When you think of Latin rock classics, you often think of Argentinian trio Enanitos Verdes’ “Lamento Boliviano.” Who hasn’t partied all night long to this song?
Formed in 1979 in the city of Mendoza, Argentina by vocalist, bass guitar, and keyboardist Marciano Cantero, guitarist Felipe Staiti, and drummer Daniel Piccolo (now replaced by Jota Morelli), the three-piece outfit has cemented themselves as one of the most recognized faces of Latin American rock – and still are playing as hard as ever.
Four decades later and they’re still on the road. Currently the band is on a 17-city U.S. tour that kicked off in Sacramento on July 6. The emblematic rock / pop band will be performing in Southern California on the following dates: Sat. July 9 at the Youtube Theatre in Los Angeles, CA; Fri. July 15 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA; and Sat. July 16 at the Riverside Municipal in Riverside, CA.
