Día de Los Muertos Returns To Hollywood Forever For Its 17th Edition, on Saturday October 29th!
For the 17th year in a row, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery features a diverse and star-studded lineup that will surely sweep crowds off their feet on October 29th. Featuring global pop icon Julieta Venegas, Los Angeles-bred latin-funk-cumbia fusion heroes, Buyepongo, acclaimed tango-inspired singer-songwriter Mitre, the charming Peruvian pop-folk duo Alejandro y Maria Laura and the amazing female mariachi group Mariachi Flor De Toloache.
The LA Day of the Dead at the Hollywood Forever cemetery has grown from a modest gathering of 300 people in 1999, to a massive event of more than 40,000 people, making Día de Los Muertos @Hollywood Forever the largest Day of the Dead celebration in the United States!
This year's theme celebrates El Árbol De La Vida, honoring sculptural traditions of the picturesque Metepec village, located outside of Mexico City. The event shines a bright light into this ancestral Mexican tradition in a way that is authentic, clear and relatable.
As its become an annual tradition, Día de Los Muertos @Hollywood Forever features an amazing array of mind-blowing altars, delicious food, traditional dancing and fun for the entire family!
